DESCRIPTION:

I have a main playroom where I have dress up, a kitchen, workshop area, drawing area, manipulatives area and circle time. I have a library set up in the living room and also an area for infants to play and sleep. I use the kitchen for our meals and art activities or projects. My outside is set up for gross motor skills and fun outdoor adventures. About a half block away our neighborhood has a playground we will adventure to for short field trips or picnics.

QUALIFICATIONS:

My experience with children include over 10 Years Experience, BA in Interdisiplinary Childhood Education, Child Development Associate Certificate (CDA), Substitute teacher at two private schools and I was head teacher and parent educator for a cooperative preschool for ages 2-5 years old for three years. Before college I worked at a childcare center as assistant teacher and my mother had her own in-home family childcare.

PARENT RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide all required enrollment and health forms as needed
prior to enrollment and keep immunizations up to date.

Proper sign-in for admittance and sign-out for dismissal.

The time of arrival and departure must be entered on the sign-in
and sign-out sheet and parent's full signature must be used to sign the child in and out.

Provide a blanket for rest time and backpack or cloth bag for belongings.

Take blanket home weekly to launder.

Two pairs of extra clothes is required and
PLEASE BRING CLOTHES THAT CAN GET DIRTY.

For infants/toddlers, provide enough clean bottles for each feeding,
as well as baby food if they are eating solids.

Notify me in writing with any change of address, phone or other
information as indicated on the enrollment agreement.

Fill out a dismissal card for child's dismissal
to persons other than the guardian of the child.

Provide alternate care for ill children.

Have child dressed upon arrival.

Maintain open communication with me and provide any
information that might contribute to your child's growth.

Make payment as agreed upon.

Pick the child(ren) up by closing time.

Pay for damages your child(ren) cause to property or other's belongings.

MEALS & MENUS:

Breakfast is at 7:30am (i.e. waffles, bananas, and milk)
Morning snack 9:45am (i.e. English Muffin and Apple Juice)
Lunch at 11:30am (i.e. grilled cheese, tomato soup, apple sauce, and milk)
Afternoon snack at 2:40pm (i.e. goldfish crackers and yogurt)
There will be cooking days as well as special days for children.

CURRIUCULM INFORMATION:

In my childcare I run a two and one half hour preschool program for ages 2 years to 5/6 years. This program will be held three days a week for prekindergarten children and two days a week for the younger children. Infants will be on an age appropriate curriculum program (movement, massage, and music). There will be circle time with variety of discussion topics.

There will be centers with objectives and activities for the children to accomplish (writing, cutting, drawing, reading and so forth) and an ending group discussion about activities they have accomplished. It will be fun and not even seem like program at all. I will email for have flyers around for parent information and a newsletter will be given/emailed once a quarter.

PHILOSOPHY:

My philosophy is learning should be fun but also have substance,
I will try to make learning meaningful to the individual child.
We all learn the same thing differently and it is
my job to embrace each childs individual needs.
