Description Of Center:

We offer affordable excellent care as well as exceptional learning curriculum. We have a developmentally appropriate Christian environment with safe child friendly toys and equipment. Our teachers are all screened by the MO screening program and are personally picked by the director to enable our environment to be a safe happy place for a child to be. Our teachers are all here because they love to be with children, not simply to occupy a place and earn a pay check.

Qualifications:

Director and Lead Teacher has been a member of Liberty Baptist Church for over 30 years, has nearly 40 years of experience working with children. She is a mother, grandmother with a Child Development Associate Credential, an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood, a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Development with emphasis on children and families and is working toward a Master’s degree in Masters of Strategic Leadership and has earned hundreds of hours in related training over the years. She earned accreditation from the National Registry of Family Childcare Homes for the home facility she co-owned and will be striving for similar ratings in this new facility.

Philosophy

Our mission at “KIDS-Are Great!” Christian Learning Centre is to give children the best start possible while in our care, assuring parents that their child is in a safe, nurturing, learning Christian environment. The curriculum is rich with hands on learning and an environment full of affection, reassurance and acceptance.

Registration Information:

To register; call 573-228-1070 for an appointment or times to visit. A fee of $125 is collected at the time of enrollment and will be put toward the last weeks attendance when two weeks notice is given that the child will be leaving our care. On the first day a current copy of all immunization must accompany child along with the enrollment form. There is a period granted of three weeks for the physician’s exam that must also be submitted shortly after care begins.

Meals & Menu Descriptions

We offer a well balanced variety for our children at both breakfast/morning snack, lunch and afternoon snack. For breakfast we offer a bread, a fruit or juice and milk. Lunch consists of a protein (meat or cheese), a bread/pasta/rice, either one fruit and one vegetable or two of either, and milk. Often we have a dessert as well (pudding, jello etc). For afternoon snack we offer a bread, fruit and milk (although we are only required to offer two of those three). We serve whole milk to children under 2 and 1% to the children over 2. All meals are homemade and seldom if ever box mixes (maybe cakes). We strive to be as healthy as possible but as inviting as we can to tempt little appetites!

Staffing Information:

Our staff is screened and chosen because they love to work with children, not simply there occupying a position. All head teachers are educated and trained in the field, assistants teachers have required training and all are Christian and in good standing within the community.

Financial Assistance Information:

We accept children who are on state assistance. We charge the difference between what the state agrees to pay and our fees. Exceptions must fill out paperwork and be accepted before enrolling. Scholarships either temporary or permanent will be on an availability basis; we may not always have this available. We will work with all parents if possible to insure that they are able to afford our fees and any required expenses that might be incurred.

Curriculum:

Our teachers are trained in the Creative Curriculum as well as offering their own well rounded curriculum to insure that the children are exposed to every possible learning experience. We have games, activities and learning materials that will enhance the learning environment.
