Tender Hearts Child Care
Tender Hearts is a registered home-based family environment. I believe in hands-on learning experiences and that is incorporated into our preschool curriculum. There is also plenty of time in our day for both indoor and outdoor free play whichs allows children to use their imaginations, explore their environment, and develop social skills.

QUALIFICATIONS

I have spent the past 11 years living my dream of being a mother to 3 wonderful children, ages 11, 10,and 3 months. I worked for three years in an elementary school as a health para-educator and I have spent the last 5 years co-leading my daughters' Girl Scout Troop. Both my Husband and I are certified in Infant/ Child CPR and First Aid.
I am also continuing my education and training so that I can always continue to provide the best quality care for your son/daughter.

PHILOSOPHY
|
There is no love in this world that can compare to a mother's love for her child. It takes a huge
amount of strength and trust to allow someone else to care for your child (I understand this
becuase I have had to bring my children to daycares in the past in order to provide a quality life
for them). Because of this I offer a 2-week trial period for both the parent and the provider in
order to ensure that this is the best fit for you and your child. If within the 2 weeks you find
that our home is not the best fit you may terminate your contract with no notice.
Your son/daughter will be accepted into our home as part of our family and will be loved, nurtured
and respected. Our home always has an open-door policy and parents are always welcome and
encouraged to drop-in and join us in any of our activities. I will also be communicating with
parents on a daily basis so that they can be informed and involved in their child's daily routine.

I will periodically offer a Friday evening date night or a Saturday afternoon errand day for an additional fee. Prices and dates for these special occasions will be posted on our bulletin board.

REGISTRATION
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
I accept State subsidy. Parents will be responsible for any balance not paid
by the state. This will be referred to as your co-pay amount.

CURRICULUM
I will be using the Fireflies pre-school curriculum offered by Funshine Express (www.funshineexpress.com). Our program includes Circle Time, Story Time, Music and Motion ativities, Arts & Crafts, Science & Discovery, Social Skills, and developmental learning activities.
Parents will receive monthly and weekly newsletters explaining our Themes of the month along with great ideas for activities and recipes that you can do along with your child at home.
Please Note that preschool curriculum will not be offered during the summer months as we will be outdoors enjoying the fresh Summer air while it lasts!

MEALS & MENUS
I will provide breakfast for all children arriving by 7:30 a.m. I also provide a well-balanced lunch as well as A.M. and P.M. snacks daily. Complete menus will be handed out weekly. Sample menus are available upon request.
