DESCRIPTION
I allow the children to use all areas of my home freely for play, exploring and education. We are a small group with a maximum of 10 children, including 6 under the age of 5 and 4 over the age of 5.

PHILOSOPHY
I will provide a Safe and Healthy Day Care Home that supports the physical, social, intellectual and emotional needs of each and every child. I believe children feel most comfortable in a loving and caring setting while away from their parents. They want to feel safe, protected, loved, wanted and want to have fun. They need to be allowed to be curious about the world around them within safe boundaries. I ONLY use positive reinforcement for discipline and always redirect a child rather than just stick them in time out! Everyone makes mistakes and need to learn from them, not be punished for them! Children learn best through play. I am big on open communication. I don't just watch children, I CARE FOR CHILDREN. And I am so LUCKY to be able to share my heart, home and family with these wonderful children!

REGISTRATION
Currently Registered with the State of Vermont as a Registered Family Home Daycare
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
I do accept subsidy from the State of Vermont and can accept employer assistance from some companies.

TUITION
*Infants/Toddlers:
Full time care is $165.00 a week which includes everything but diapers
and formula!
Part time care is $35.00 per day.
School Age: $125.00 for Fulltime Week (Summer, School Vacations)
$25.00 per day for full day part time care or $15.00 per day for afterschool care.
A deposit equal to one weeks care is required to hold a spot.
All deposits are NON REFUNDABLE but is applied towards your first weeks care!
A waiting list is kept!

MEALS & MENUS
I am on the Child Care Food Program and serve balanced meals and snacks. Tuition covers breakfast, morning snack, lunch and afternoon snack. We do have regular inspections from Child Care Resource for our food program.

STAFFING
I am the full time provider for the children and I also have a part time college student who works with me in the mornings and full time in the summer. We also receive lots of help from my husband and my grandmother. The children LOVE their time with my husband and of course love to be spoiled by grandma!

PARENT INFORMATION
Parent involvement is very important to providing superior care to children and we do many parent nights! Including a Luau in the summer, Steak and Lobster dinner in the winter and other "fun nights" throughout the year! Including a HUGE Christmas Party for children and Parents!

CURRICULUM
We are a very active group with daily circle, activity, story time, inside play time, and outside playtime. We are currently creating a preschool curriculum as children become preschoolers. There is a lot of education play and we try to incorporate numbers, colors, letters, etc into everything we do. There is a daily schedule. Infants and young toddlers are allowed to set their own schedule and as they become older toddlers (18 mos) we try to guide them to our schedule! All children receive lots of one on one time and everyone gets a chance to pick a group activity everyday!
School Age Summer Program includes trips to park, schools, beach, LOTS of outside time, group non competitive sports, science activities, arts and crafts, cooking, baking and MUCH more!
TV is VERY limited to 1 hour per day at the most!
