Description:
Healthy & Happy will provide a safe, enriching environment where children will experience age-appropriate structured music, activity, and learning time as well as ample free play time for developing their imaginations and explorations. A daily schedule will help your child's days run smoothly and allow the children to anticipate coming events. Young children enjoy a structured schedule that allows for flexibility. We will try to follow this schedule as much as possible. We appreciate your considering our schedule when dropping off or picking up your child. It is better if arrivals and departures do not occur during quiet time; but when they do, please remember that children may be sleeping, so come and go as quietly as possible.

· CPR/First Aid Certified

· Former early childhood curriculum writer for an international church organization

Philosophy:
I highly value all children as unique individuals - with varying temperaments, likes and dislikes, skills, and rates of development . With this in mind, I will design daily activities to help each child reach age-appropriate developmental goals in a healthy, safe environment that focuses on their physical, intellectual, and social development. Children will learn through play, music, art, story time, games, and social interactions closely monitored and organized with their safety (and fun!) in mind. Children will be served healthy meals and snacks, and will spend at least an hour outside each day when weather allows. The environment at Healthy and Happy CDC will encourage children to be kind, compassionate, and helpful toward each other. I will model respect, patience, and integrity, supported by a lot of love and encouragement daily.
