We will have plenty of "shake your wiggles, start your giggles" time outside either in my own backyard with fun cars, slides and toys or at the park three houses down.
We will also teach them the three F's of the bible..... Facts....Faces.....Fun....
We will learn songs, verses, names, how to pray at meals, stories of the bible and FUN FUN dances....

QUALIFICATIONS:
I have been caring for kids my entire life. I have three children of my own 14, 5 and 4. I believe each and every child is a miracle and a gift from above. Each child deserves love, attention, respect and laughter.
I have met the Oregon State requirements to become a licensed childcare facility which include:
*CPR/First Aid/AED PLUS Certified
*Criminal Background check on all adults over 18 years of age
* Food handlers card
*Recognizing & reporting child abuse
*8 hours of additional training every 2 years
* My home has passed the health & safety inspection
In additions to these classes I have also received the following trainings: Child's Play, Managing Challenging behaviors, how to teach a child in less than an hour, Potty Training 101, Routines & Schedules for toddlers, Effective Communication with parents, Understanding Tantrums, Breaking the will NOT the Spirit, How to raise Godly children, Love & Respect in Toddlers, Hands on FUN, Science for toddlers, Creative Play, Through a child's eye & Failure Equals success.
I am continually taking classes to help the children in my care succeed and I will maintain the requirements placed on me by the state of Oregon on a yearly basis.

REGISTRATION:
Registration is based on acceptance after a interview/tour is completed.
The family along with the child will come in and meet the teacher and interact with the other children. This is a time for the provider to see how the child will interact with the other children and for the parents to ask any questions they may have to the provider.
We go over our daily routine and policies. If both the family and the provider agree that it is a good fit, then half of the first months tuition & a $30 enrollment fee is due to hold the spot for the child. The enrollment fee is non-refundable and is to purchase the needed materials such as: Aprons, smocks, paint brushes, glue, cups, silverware, plates, school books and bins. All of these supplies will be given to the family upon leaving the childcare. Your spot in the childcare is not reserved unless your deposit is made.

PARENT INFORMATION:
It is vital for the success of the child that the parents and I effectively communicate. Therefore each month Lil’ Critters will send home a newsletter to all families.
The “Lil Critters BIG news” will have the songs we will be singing, the letters, colors and shapes we will be learning, upcoming field trips, upcoming parties and upcoming closures. As well every three months you will get an assessment for your child to let you know what they are struggling in and what AMAZING successes they are having!
In addition to our personal newsletter our curriculum we use provides a newsletter for our parents that offer ideas on how to continue the learning with your child at home! :)

|

CURRICULUM INFORMATION:
We run a year round preschool program through Mother Goose Time and Funshine Express. Both of these are GREAT preschool programs that offer crafts,
songs, enrichment sheets, rebus activities, outdoor & indoor activities and focus on each child’s age group.
In addition to these amazing curriculums,
Lil’ Critters also teaches a non denominational biblically based preschool program. The combination of all three hits every area of learning,
development and behavior your child is or will be facing.
We have a 1 hour school time scheduled everyday and then break up the remainder of the day
with the rest of school and PLAYTIME!! Children NEED to have fun in order to learn. Please see below for a schedule of a typical Lil’ Critters day J
|

FIELD TRIPS & OUTINGS:
Lil' Critters believes that children need to get out and explore the world to help them learn how to behave and enjoy the outside world!
Therefore we go on monthly free outings to places like the library, park, duck pond, any outing I can find for free that month.
In addition to this free outings we also have field trips we go on during the summer once a month and a couple times through out the winter for a small fee to the parents.
During these field trips an additional adult comes with our school who has a criminal background check clearance to do so.
