DESCRIPTION:

Welcome to Children’s Adventure Learning Center

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to serve you and your child (ren). Our goal is to provide quality childcare within a developmentally appropriate learning environment. We strive to ensure that everyone has a positive experience and enjoys their time with our childcare center. Parents/Guardians are respected partners in achieving this goal. Your suggestions and contributions are always welcome.

We have 24-hour monitored security alarm, smoke detectors, & security cameras installed throughout our facility.

Please call the Center's Director at (253) 961-4081 to arrange for personal tour of our facility.

All visitors need to fill out Visitors Consent Form & provide proper ID (No Exception) prior to touring our facility.

PHILOSOPHY:

Children’s Adventure Learning Center strives to provide a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment in a way that facilitates children to grow, discover, and learn through a variety of age and developmental appropriate practices. Our philosophy is designed to enhance the whole child in a positive atmosphere of warmth and caring. Through our awareness of child development and consistency in our care, our goal is to meet the physical, intellectual, emotional, and social needs that are unique to each child.

Children learn through their daily experiences and routines to make decisions, to carry out responsibilities, to express him/herself creatively and to discover friendships. Children are exposed to movement, art, music, reading, science, dramatic play, life skills, blocks, outdoor play, and manipulative experiences. Themes are planned around the interests of each group of new children and staff. A daily schedule helps to provide familiar flow to each day. We make every effort to achieve these goals through the partnership of child, parent, and center staff.

QUALIFICATIONS:

We are a fully state licensed childcare center.

Owners/Directors qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Nursing,
& in Early Childhood Education.

Staffs/Teachers qualifications:

1.) S.T.A.R.S. (Early Childhood Education Training) Certificate

2.) Child/Infant CPR Training Card

3.) AIDS/HIV Training Certificate

4.) Bloodborne Pathogens Training Certificate

5.) Negative result on TB Skin Test

6.) Food Handler's Card

7.) Must love & enjoy working with children

8.) Must be a non-smoker

9.) All staffs/teachers must successfully

    pass Criminal Background Checks by

    the FBI and/or the Washington State

    Patrol.

ADMISSION:

Admission at Children’s Adventure Learning Center is an ongoing process and we accept applications year round.

Acceptance into our program is only limited by space availability and completion of all necessary paperwork. Care is provided on a priority basis to meet full-time childcare needs.

Part-time care may be available for up to 3 days per week and no more than 10 hours per day. ( More than 10-hour care may be available )

Waiting lists are routinely updated, checked, and revised to assist parents in placement of their child/ children.

REGISTRATION & TUITION:

Admission is complete with
the following steps being taken:

Interview/Tour with the Executive Director or designated person in charge
Completed application packet
Completed and current Medical/Immunization form from the child’s Doctor
Parent tuition contract and Parent Handbook receipt signed and returned
A non-refundable $50.00 Annual Registration Fee
First two (2) week’s tuition payment is received in advance of service.

We provide USDA meals
(included in childcare fee)

Easy access to both I-5 & SR_512. From I-5, Take 84th St./Tacoma Mall Blvd Exit, Head South (left) on Tacoma Mall Blvd, Left on 84th st, go about 2 miles, then Right on Yakima Avenue (approx. 1 mile) Children's Adventure Learning Center is on the left (Across from Tacoma Christian Reformed Church)
