Description:

At Kid's Place we want to provide the very best care for your child by providing the fundamentals of nurturing for your child(ren). We want to help each child learn, be encouraged, laugh, have the opportunity to develop at their own pace, and be in a healthy atmosphere where it feels like home.

Our goal is to help parents be at peace, smile, and be happy knowing their child(ren) will be busy having fun, learning, playing, and making friends.





Qualifications:


My Training and Experience

I have a college background in Early Childhood Education and have worked in a preschool setting for 4 years. This has given me a wealth of knowledge and a heart for children. I want to provide an opportunity for parents to have a warm home setting for the care of their child while they are away.

Further, the State of Washington requires that I take annual training on topics related to caring for young children. Feel free to ask me about my training. I will share any interesting things I learn with the families in my program.

Philosophy and Program Description

We offer a preschool program within a licensed home childcare environment, including after-school care, which enriches ages birth through 11 years of age.

In a home setting we will have normal routines and also structured activities daily.

Admission Requirements and Enrollment Procedures

Introductory Visit:
Each new family needs to visit my home at least one time prior to enrollment.

· Deposits and Registration Fees: Your child’s position is reserved upon receipt of 1 week's non-refundable deposit. This deposit will be applied to the first week of care.

Registration Fee – There will be a $75 Registration fee per child every September (registration fee is non refundable).

Admission Forms:
There are several forms you are required to complete prior to your child’s attendance:

1. Child Care Home Register –
This form includes a Consent for
Medical Care and Treatment of Minor Children
2. Certificate of Immunization Status updated always as new shots are received.
3. Permission Authorization
4. Child Care Agreement
5. USDA Food Program enrollment form
6. Please submit Note About Your Child’s Likes & Dislikes. This will help me to get to know them better.

Example: Sara likes reading books. John does not like Carrots.
I will work with your child to introduce new
learning and want to make them feel comfortable!

Rates and Payment Plan

Rates are evaluated each August and may be raised every year on September 1st or your anniversary date. There will be at least a two-week notice given for rate increases or any other adjustments needed.

Meals & Menus:



Meals and Snacks

We participate in the USDA Food Program and provide healthy meals and snacks in accordance with their guidelines.

It is your responsibility to notify me of any allergies or adverse reactions your child may have with certain foods or beverages. Typical menu items are listed below. I will work closely with you on your child’s transition to solid foods when appropriate.

Meals Served/Sample Menus:

Breakfast:
1) cereal, fresh fruit, and milk
2) wheat toast, scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, and milk
3) bagel and cream cheese, orange juice, and milk

Lunch:
1) peanut butter/jelly sandwich, cheese, banana, celery, milk
2) macaroni & cheese, carrots, applesauce, milk
3) grilled cheese sandwich, tomato soup, apples, milk

Snacks
1) veggie sticks with peanut butter
2) fruit and crackers
3) crackers and cheese

Policies on Food Brought From Home

Please do not bring food from home since meals are provided with our services and fees.
If you would like to send in a treat for your child to share for a special occasion,
please be sure arrangements are made with me ahead of time and the treat is in store packaging.


Staffing:

Hi, my name is Tina Severson and I am honored that you have chosen me to care for your precious child. I have lived in Monroe for almost 4 years and enjoy spending time with my husband Kory, daughters Cassie and Kaitlin.

My hobbies are gardening, sporting events, and the outdoors. Being a mother of 2 girls and the eldest of 5 siblings, it is my belief that the care of children is one of the most important jobs in life, with nurturing from the heart. Cassie my daughter will be assisting me during hours of operation. I am a member of the Sky Valley Childcare Association and have excellent references.




Daily Schedule:


Time & Activities:

7:00 am - 8:30 am Breakfast and free play

8:30 am - 9:30 am - Bathroom, wash up, & morning activities (including outside play, weather permitting)

9:30 am - 11:30 am -Snack time and preschool learning

11:30 am - 12:30 pm - Clean up, wash up, and lunch, followed by storytime

12:30 pm - 2:30 pm - Rest time

2:30 pm - 3:30 pm - Bathroom, wash up, and snack time

3:30 pm - 4:30 pm - Art project, music time, or free play

4:30 pm - 5:30 pm - Afternoon snack, outdoor play, and indoor activities


Curriculum:


Daily activities and curriculum are designed to meet each child's level of development. Curriculum includes daily activities and learning from stories, book time, numbers, alphabet, colors, science, shapes, art, dramatic play, music, fine motor and gross motor skills.

Social activities fostered in a small group and home friendly atmosphere. We have age appropriate equipment and toys to stimulate your child's learning . A caring environment to help your child grows and be nurtured daily.
